So its always difficult to find a category in which to submit Mandala work ... It would be nice if there was sum sort of spiritual category on DA, rather than being forced into the Miscellaneous section.
Anyway, I did this piece many years ago as part of a series of smaller Mandalas which I had made as Christmas cards (giving them each an original-master of my art was cheaper than buying presents for everyone - hehehe). I liked them so much I decided to make a much larger one for myself. Back then my computer would have fallen over at the prospect of having to load up this piece for editing, so now that technology has cum far enough to do so, Im considering colouring it in. This piece was drawn with felt-tip pen on watercolour paper.
I have always tried to make my full-view file sizes small enough for viewing on a Dial-Up connection, but this piece refused to get any smaller without losing detail ... Now as DA, in their infinite wisdom, have chosen to take away the dimension info if you want to zoom an image, for your convenience, I will now supply this information for each of my images if you want to see them in Full View.

Full-View File Info:
Dimensions - 1230 x 1276
File Size - 485 KB

you said: "So its always difficult to find a category in which to submit Mandala work ... i love love love your mandala. as you can tell from my name, i'm really into them ;) i've drawn many like yours over the years, the filling in of the details is deeply relaxing, and meditative. i hope more people get into drawing mandalas! yours is amazing, so full of detail, i prefer black-n-white mandalas to colored ones because of the textural effects you can get with all the details. wonderful.
